Today I went to the ice caves, first we had to go on a
speeding fast cable car and when we went up over a mid-way pylon it felt like
we were free falling in the cable car, then it went super-fast and after that we
arrived at the top. We took a 5 minute
walking track up to the cave and when we arrived we had to wait for 2 minutes
until we could go into the cave. In the
meantime we enjoyed amazing views over
the mountains as we were 1420m high.
Then we went into the cave, it was amazing how cold it got
when you were in the cave; one second we were warm next minute we were at -3.C,
we also saw some amazing ice spikes. The ice spikes were sharp.
The ice was so cold when I picked it up I yelled “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
this is cold because I thought it was fake”. The ice was 600 years old and every summer it
melted but every winter it grew more than it lost the previous summer.
My favourite was the big ice sculptures because I had never
seen anything like it before. I liked
them because they had huge spikes glistening in the light of the torch, the
spikes that were 5 times sharper and pointier than a normal sharp knife at
home.
