Recycled paper made with Elephant poo!!! Written by Katie

Today we went to Elephant Poopoo paper park! We were shown around the making area, we were shown all the steps for making elephant poo into paper.

First you have to boil and clean the yucky poo and pound to pulp.

Next you have to evenly spread the pulp on the screen.

Let it dry and turn into paper.

Then we got a chance to decorate the paper. Connor and I decorated the front and back of the notebook we purchased by gluing on coloured paper shapes and letters. All of this was made out of the elephant poo.

Luckily there was no disgusting stinky smell! YAY!


At the start the idea of making poo into paper sounded absolutely disgusting, but when you've seen it been washed and boiled you know that now it isn't dirty! I had lot's of fun making my own little notebook and I liked seeing how they make it. If you every go to Chaing Mai I would definitely recommend it!
