Thai Massage written by Marvin

It was the nibbling that got to me, along with a little sucking.  But when they started nibbling, that was tickling to a new level!  Nibble, nibble, nibble that lead to a slight vibration.  One could only wonder what it would be like if they moved up from my feet.   All this for only 40 Baht ($1.80) for 15 minutes, a real bargin.  I would’ve have liked more time, although my darling wife needed money for reflexology.  The kids were getting restless too, so it was time for my fish foot massage to come to an end.  What a great concept placing your feet in a fish tank to let the small fish remove all the dead skin.  Apparently they have no teeth, although not so sure, they kids were squealing with delight as fish upon fish arrived to suck and nibble on the toes.  Amazing to look down and see about 15-20 fish on each foot.

Earlier this week, the Jandal Crew went for a more traditional Thai massage across from our Guest House.  200 baht ($8) each for an hour massage.  It started with placing our feet in a small bath with lime slices, which then rubbed over feet for quick clean.  Into some oversized Thai pyjamas, before being squeezed, prodded and pummelled by the strong hands of a middle aged Thai woman.  Then she started with her elbows, and finished with what I thought were her feet.  The stretch at the end was a welcome relief, before a smoothing face rub.  The kids enjoyed it, even if their shoulders were a bit sore afterwards.  Something we will do again before our departure from Chiang Mai.
