School
Today we went to a poor school in a village where the kids play on a rocky dirt patch and they have no internet, no proper stationery, no playground or anything so we gave a donation to them and we bought hygiene stuff like soap toothbrushes and toothpaste for each kid, plus pens and books for each of them and some sports equipment.
We got to the school and they were right in the middle of a maths lesson, they were talking but when we came they went SILENT they were probably really nervous when we were taking pictures of them.
After that we went outside and the kids topic was personal hygiene so we taught them about that by holding up a piece of paper about washing your hands and after that the teacher taught them the toothbrushing song
Then we went outside for playtime with the new soccer balls and the new hoola hoops, we played a game where we made a circle and I was in the middle then I would pass the ball to someone they would pass back then I would pass to another person and it would keep going like that. Then I swapped over with someone and it was very hard to communicate with them because they only speak Lao then we played a proper game. I explained that they don’t want the ball to go in our goal but we wanted to score by kicking the ball over their goal. In the end we won I scored and so did this other kid in my team.
Then it was time to give the packs out to the kids, there was this cute 2 year old that also got a pack and the older kids got a book instead of soap.
